A Dreamy Winter Wonderland Engagment Session In Idaho Springs

Go With The Flow and Sometimes You Get Snow!

Colorado said “Forget fall! We’re headed straight for winter!”

These two are literally EVERYTHING! Nothing brings me more excitement to a shoot than when people are genuinely happy, goofy, and imperfectly perfect in love.

Two hours before the shoot, Nic & Tay call me concerned about the weather. Their proposal shoot (far right) was a fun time, but there we had to work with the unexpected rain. So I told them I could totally reschedule since they deserved something stress free. Well, they ended up just going with it! And I’m so glad they did!

Unexpected snow could not put a damper on their plans. I pulled out the umbrella, they ran around, and we had the best time. Tay literally looked at Nic at one point and said “Oh my god, this is so fun. We are so cute.” It was a moment. MY HEART IS STILL SCREAMING. My fingers were freezing but my heart was so warm!

The best part of this go-with-the-flow story is that we even met just somewhere on the side of the road. I saw these trees and they trusted it would be perfect. Then the snow got heavier, so we just drove down the mountain to get away. And just pulled over again, just to stumble upon this little river bend.

I don’t know about you, but things like this just feel meant to be. Just making these pictures even more magical.

Anyways, that story just to give you some context behind some of the cutest fall/winter photos I’ve ever taken!! And to remind you that photoshoots don’t have to be scary or stressful. Get outside before it’s too late and dance in the streets with your lover.

Let’s book your next Colorado engagement photoshoot! I’ve got your back with location ideas, outfit inspiration, laid back vibes, and even more. You’ll just have to sign up for the experience ;)
