The artist behind the lens
Nice to meet ya! I go by Jas (they/them)! I’m a non-binary photographer, creative director, pet parent, library card holder, Nintendo switch gamer, snowboarder, and reality show binger. I’ve always been a huge cheerleader for a good love/hero story, and if it defies all of society’s expectations, even better!
It’s been over a decade of documenting, and I’m still beaming at every new connection, confidence boost, and memory captured. My Leo sun wants you to bask in that spotlight, please!
What else? One time, as I feared for my life in the middle of the desert, I whispered to my partner, “What if we die, and I can’t get these clients their photos?” After an annoyed chuckle, she told me I was born for this. I think so too.
Now, let’s be queer…
Jas K Productions has always been a reflection of who I am. And that is a queer Vietnamese-Ecuadorian person from the South. I know what it’s like to feel rejected and undesirable. I know what it’s like to look in the mirror and think you’ll never feel right in your skin. And now I know what’s it like to find healing in photography.
I’m on a journey to spread radical self love and tell powerful untold stories. I hope yours will be next!
Our Values

We are actively anti-racist and continuously make the effort to amplify marginalized voices through all our work. Jas Kitterman: Shaping Denver’s Queer Art Scene Through Authenticity and Connection
“By truly listening to their models’ preferences and adjusting accordingly, Kitterman has hacked the formula for creating art that keeps authenticity and vulnerability at its heart.
“Creating a safe space is the future of portrait photography,” Kitterman said. “Anyone who specializes in portrait photography should aim to give a really good experience without forcing what you want to do.”
Reflecting On Growth In 2023// Bould Journey
As I meet and work more with the community, I feel better equipped to provide the best curated photo experiences– the kind that heal your inner child. This year I focused on growing my skills with inclusive posing, diverse editing, fashion and editorial projects, and creative direction. I’m looking forward to learning more about producing larger commercial photoshoots!
Meet Jas Kitterman// Voyage Denver
“My work often reflects my own identity as a queer person of color. I aim to showcase diversity and celebrate equality through an artistic lens. Most weekends, I’m photographing a wedding and on weekdays I’m shooting branding and editorial sessions. I love to blend my two passions for creative portraits and unique stories. I’m grateful that I often work with people in the LGBTQIA+ and BIPOC communities to showcase underrepresented communities.”
Take Gender Of The Menu// AHP Indie Stylist
“The idea of community is an essential part of life. If we put ourselves in a situation where we feel supported by those around us, we’re immediately more at ease.”
Inclusive Artist: Jas Kitterman// Canvas Rebel
“It’s ok for you to have your own style, to set your own boundaries, and to take life at your own pace. The right people will value your time and work, and most importantly show respect to your craft.
I used to be so afraid and sought everyone’s approval but unlearning that narrative has only elevated my life and artistry. I lead with my heart and intertwine that into my business whenever I can.”
