Meet The Millers: Romantic Rainy Fall Wedding | Bison Peak Lodge at Puma Hills Lake George, Colorado

I love photographing weddings in Colorado because of the incredible landscape and the weather is always great! Well, till it’s not. This was one of those days. But The Millers wouldn’t let a little rain stop them, and the pics didn’t disappoint!

If you’re a fan of a little Nicholas Sparks movie…what’s it called? Oh yeah, The Notebook!! You might not be able to tell the difference between the film and this wedding day.

Nik and Erika held their destination wedding with a few family and friends in Lake George, CO. They found this new and gorgeous wedding venue Bison Peak Lodge at Puma Hills and were among the first to seal the deal at this boho Colorado lodge that is to die for!

When we saw the rain coming, we gave it a few minutes and asked Nick and Erika if they wanted to move the ceremony indoors. As the rain sprinkled and fog began to clear, they decided to go for it. There were many tears, some of my own, as the newlyweds wrapped their vows and kissed in the rain.

They finished their wedding day cozy and warm with the best little touches for a little dinner reception and dancing. It felt like I was in someone’s fancy living room complete with two fire places. And I don’t know about you, but that’s how I’d love to end my wedding day!

Excited to see more couples elope at Bison Peak Lodge this fall!
