“Pop The Question” In Style at the Denver Clock Tower
Although the Clock Tower stands tall and prominent among Denver’s 16th Street Mall, not many know that you can actually take a ride up to the 17th floor and see the inside of the historical building for yourself. That is, if you’re attending a special event, wedding, or planning to propose!
If you’re like me and your boss isn’t throwing their annual holiday party here, I guess you’ll just have to pop the question. You can’t wait for somebody else’s wedding to get the private tour! Luckily, the Clock Tower might just be the perfect venue for your surprise proposal.
Propose With Finesse (And Stealth)
Imagine walking through the streets of the city holding your boo’s hand, perhaps excited for a fake office dinner party. You hit the elevator and zoom up the floors. Stepping off, you’re greeted by the staff and they direct you up the stairs and almost magically “your song” comes on the speakers. Wow, what a coincidence! As you climb the next set of stairs, you come to a room with rose petals, candles, and champagne. You’re nervous, but suddenly it’s just you two, the music, and a hella romantic setting. There’s nothing left but to get down on one knee. And how could they say no!
When proposing a lot of people enlist my help to keep it a secret/a surprise. The Clock Tower is an awesome option if you need an excuse to get all dressed up and go somewhere new. You can’t go wrong with the professional set up! We’ve done this quite a few times, let us handle it for you.
Picture The Moment And Much More
Once you’ve popped a bottle and shaken out those nerves, we know that you’ll want to take a few photos to capture the memories! The Clock Tower host three floors with endless possibilities for photos.
The main floor for proposals features two clock faces and of course an elegant set up of florals and candles. Add some “Marry Me” lettters to bring it all together.
Head on up a floor and enjoy a view of downtown, the mountains, and if you’re lucky, an incredibly nostalgic Colorado sunset.
Finally, we make our way to the top floor with a gorgeous spiral staircase that just fulfills all of your royal family fantasies.
There aren’t any other locations in the heart of Denver that can provide these type of photo backdrops all in one! Plus, the Clock Tower is a not-so-hidden gem that feels like an exclusive experience considering most locals have yet to have the chance to visit the historic building. The value for this entire package is unheard of.
Party Like You Just Got Engaged
Choosing a downtown location for your surprise proposal can be contrary to the traditional mountainside proposal that we often expect in Colorado. However, with the logistics of getting to the mountains (about 30-50 minutes), finding the right spot, keeping the moment a surprise, unpredictable weather, and post-engagement festivities, it makes sense for a some couples to choose the city for their special moment.
After your photo shoot, you’re ready to celebrate your love by catching up with your closest friends at the bar or grabbing a bite at that little pizza shop where you had your first date. Whatever it may be to make this night everything you ever imagined. (Consider capturing some of it on camera! I love a date night theme!)
If you’re considering proposing at the Clock Tower in Denver, I’m happy to help capture the moment! I’ve been lucky enough to photograph dozens of heartwarming proposals and in turn learned the ins and outs of this classic Colorado venue. I’d love to share all my tips and tricks to pull off the proposal of your dreams!
